World Birding Center

Palm-fringed resacas…rare thorn forest…riverside woodlands…crashing surf: The nine different sites that make up the World Birding Center together paint a colorful backdrop for birding in the Lower Rio Grande Valley of Texas.

An historic adobe hacienda…scenic bluffs high above the Rio Grande…pristine wilderness or teeming wetlands: The WBC network offers visitors a dazzling array of birding adventures, from wilderness walks and float trips to hands-on, state-of-the-art educational exhibits.

Not one place, but nine unique locations: Each with its own attractions for the first-time visitor or expert birder. Not one season, but all seasons, as more than 500 different bird species make this a not-to-be-missed nature destination.
